Check out the size of this one

I got on the internet and this is what was on my front page. Holy cow!! I cant even imagine. This little Siberian baby girl was the moms 12th child weighing in at 17lbs. 1oz. “I ate everything, we don’t have the money for special foods so I just ate potatoes, noodles and tomatoes,” she told the reporter, adding that all her previous babies had weighed more than 11 pounds. OUCH!! The biggest babies according to The Guinness World Records is a 22lbs. 4oz. baby boy born in Italy in 1955, and a 23lbs 8oz baby boy who was born in the United States in 1879 but died 11 hours later. Ok, thats not having a baby, thats having a toddler!

*** Note to self, DONT only eat potatoes, noodles and tomatoes while pregnant. ***

Our sweet girl

Those of you that know B know that she is not a snuggley baby and never has been. She would never fall asleep being held at church or even just sit on our laps like a good girl. Last night she was being so cuddley and cute and Scott got some cute pics. I had to share them, they are that sweet. Well, she woke up last night with a temp. of 103.0 and then I just checked it again before I put her down for a nap and it was 103.4 I was hoping she was turning into a cuddler but no, she just isnt feeling well.

Happy Birthday Pammy!

I just wanted to give a shout out to my wonderful mom. It was her birthday yesterday but I was babysitting all day and couldnt post anything. I hope you had a great day full of breakfast in bed and people waiting on you hand and foot. You sure deserve it!! I love you mom!

10 things about me

So, I got tagged a while back but have been putting it off and putting it off. So, here we go:

1- I ONLY WRITE IN UPPER CASE LETTERS. I dont know when I started this but it has been for as long as I can remember. I tried writing normal and I really had to think about it. Kinda weird.
2- I love to have clean sheets. I wash my sheets every weekend and my favorite nights sleep is the day I wash them. There is just something about that clean fresh smell. Yum!
3- I am obsessed with reading the Obituaries. I read them on a daily basis. I thought I was the only weird one but my mom told me she likes to read them too. I always got made fun of at work because when Dr. Williams was doing an exam, I would hang out by the counter and read my Obituarues. Sad but that is how I found out a few people had died from previous wards and stuff. I just wish it would say how the person died! Instead I am left hanging....
4- I am scared of thunder and lightening. Ok, so I am only afraid of it if I am outside while it is going on. The last storm we had here in the valley was about 4 weeks ago and my dog had to go potty but wouldnt go outside in the rain. So, I put the leash on him and took him in the front yard. He took like 20 minutes to go because I think he was afraid too. It is just loud and shakes the ground, thats what scares me!
5- I love to do crafts! I have no creativeness in me but boy am I a great copier!!! I really like to make new things for my house or Brynlee's room. I am almost done with a craft I have been working on. I'll post pics when I finish.
6- I love to go shopping! Anytime I get the chance, I head for the mall or for all the shops like over on Greenfield and Williams Field. I am a HUGE ebay fan so I am always looking for amazing deals anywhere I go.
7- I love to decorate and redecorate! Infact, I am in the middle of redecorating my downstairs. I just get sick of things fast so I have to find another color to add or change to spice things up. I would have loved to go to interior decorating school to learn more about it.
8- I love to travel with my family! Scott and I went to alot of fun places before we got pregnant. Cancun, Florida, New York, Las Vegas, all over California and on a cruise just to name a few. We have a family tradition that we started the year we got married to stay at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge every 4th of July. It is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at! Try it out sometime, you will enjoy it too.
9- I love to play games....board games, card games, you name it! We have some good friends, Steven and Amy that we play games with a lot. All I can say is that I am the BEST Rook player. Everyone always wants me on their team. (im being a little sarcastic) I make Scott play Phase 10 with me and he loves every minute of it. It isnt as fun with 2 people but i gotta get my fix sometime. Skip-bo is our family favorites (and the newlywed game-huh Scott)! So, any game players out there....lets hang out!!
10- Drum roll please......I love to read all the gossip magazines-People, US Weekly, In-Touch. Scott got me a subscription for US Weekly a long time ago and I loved it! I was sad when the 2 years were up. Just vegging on the couch reading a good magazine is fabulous. My treat to myself is buying the magazines whenever we go on vacations.

Gosh, that was a little harder than I thought. Hope you all learned something new about me! Now I tag: AMY S., BEKA P., CARRIE S., CARA H. and KAMI L. I cant wait to learn something new about you!

Happy Grandparents Day!

Since today is Grandparents Day, I thought I would do a post for the occasion. How lucky I am to have Grandpa and Grandma Rasmussen (my mom and dad) and Papa and Nana Urkov (Scott's mom and dad) for being such great people and examples to Brynlee and our future kids. Brynlee really does love and appreciate you but she has a hard time expressing herself. : ) Also, a special thanks to my grandma's, Grandma Rasmussen and Grandma Larsen. They are such special people to me and I love visiting with them any chance I get. I never met either of my grandpa's but I cant wait to sit and visit with them in heaven one day! Hope you all have a great day!

Labor Day Weekend

We spent this past weekend up in Pinetop. S played in the Labor Day softball tournament there so we made a family getaway out of it. We stayed at our friends cabin in Pinetop and then the games were in Taylor, which is about 30 minutes away. The weather was very nice up there and we even got rain a few times. Saturday night we were at the cabin and it started to thunder and lightning and rain. The girls were downstairs with the kids while the boys were playing nintendo upstairs. My friend, Heidi, told her little girl Maddy to go clean up the play-do that she had been playing with upstairs. Maddy went upstairs and like 1 minute later, there was this HUGE lightning bolt that we thought hit the house and made the lights go out for a few seconds. It was seriously the scariest and loudest thing I have ever heard. Im pretty sure my heart skipped a beat and it gave me an instant headache-thats how loud it was. Heidi ran upstairs to check on Maddy and she was kneeling next to the sliding glass door, which leads to the balcony outside. After doing some investigations, the lightning bolt hit a tree that was about 15 feet from the balcony. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the tree and cable wires that it knocked down. We are so luck at the outcome, it could have been way worse. Instead we were without cable for the weekend. Thats not all bad! We went on lots of walks in the wagon with all the kids, played outside, watched lots of softball and played cards. S's team ended up winning the whole tournament so we all left happy! It was a fun weekend but nice to be home in my nice comfy bed and B back to familiar territories. She has a hard time with new places and surroundings.

B cant go anywhere without her favorite bunny...its her comfort

She was being so funny with her teething ring and just holding it with her mouth

B and Maddy on a walk in the wagon

Tatum was picking "flowers" for her mom, roots and all....too funny

My dad's knee surgery

My dad had knee replacement surgery last week. Everything went great and he is on the road to recovery. I couldnt resist taking some pics....very gross yet pretty cool at the same time. These pics are 3 days after surgery. Sorry dad!!!

Adam Dean Rasmussen

Me and my sister, Emily, drove down to Tucson last Thursday to visit with my dad after his surgery and to go see our new nephew, Adam. He is such a sweet baby and so so so TINY!! Its hard to remember how tiny babies are when they are newborns. Congrats again Brad and Linds!
